STUDENT CENTER – MPR. The weekly Senate meeting began with Vice President Jasmin Lutawan announcing that quorum was not met – the required quorum for the Senate Business meetings is ‘half plus one’ – with only three sitting Senators, all need to show up to conduct business. However, reports were still given, including a significant one from Election Committee which was later announced to the wider campus over email.

President Noa Lolona Haro mentioned SUNY Poly’s town hall occurring that afternoon in Kunsela Hall during his report. President Lolona Haro echoed his previous reports advocating for Swipe It Forward, an initiative allowing students to donate their unused guest swipes to students who may need them. The link for Swipe It Forward can be found here. He announced Auxiliary Services is seeking three students as student representatives for their Board of Directors meetings, sharing an interest form which can be found [here](https://cglink.me/261/s47?ref=thewildcatgazette.com).

He also reported that Student Government’s search for Cabinet Directors had concluded with the exception of the Director of Leadership Development position and that hiring for WEB President would be announced this upcoming Monday.

Vice President Lutawan reported that the first organizational heads meeting had been hosted with the currently sitting ‘org heads’ (Club Advisory Board, Wildcat Esports). She stated that Senate training had been set up and would be ready following the Senate election. Advisors Kathie Artigiani and Bailey Wadsworth declined to give reports.

Election Committee Chair Maximus Azzarello reported that Election Committee had “..been made aware of the violation of policy for the ballots having profile pictures for the Senate election, and therefore the Senate election and all votes will be considered null and void.” (The ballots for the Senate election did contain profile pictures which seemed to match whatever profiles the candidate had set for their Outlook email.) Student Government election policy states that Student Government “..cannot use candidate headshots on ballots or posters.”

Election Committee Chair Azzarello went on to add that the Senate election would be restarted at 4pm that day, with the same timeline as the special election. Early this morning, Election Committee sent out a campus announcement which announced that voting was opened. This announcement included that the “..previous Senator Election..had been invalidated and will be restarted as part of this Special Election,” though it did not mention that it was due to profile pictures being displayed on the ballots.

Wildcat Events Board, represented by WEB Vice President Zoey Caldwell, reported that hiring for WEB Coordinators had been pushed back a week – it now begins Monday, October 5th, and ends two weeks later – stating this was due to a “..new campus announcement policy.” She also highlighted that the Humans vs. Zombies event would be occurring later this evening at 8pm. Club Advisory Board President Azzarello did not give a report.

Wildcat Esports President Kalen Hwangpo reported that Wildcat Esports was finalizing its bundle prizes for Fragfest and would begin sending out information regarding Fragfest soon.

Voting is expected to be open until Thursday, October 8th. Election results will likely be announced that afternoon during the weekly Senate meeting at 12:30pm. Candidates and voting can be found on [Campus Groups](https://cglink.me/261/s57?ref=thewildcatgazette.com); any questions regarding the election should be directed to [sgu@sunypoly.edu](mailto:sgu@sunypoly.edu).
